Biography
Driven from an early age by a desire for adventure and adrenalin, Lawrence nurtured the dream of joining Reporters Without Borders. However, her career took a different turn when she specialized in public relations at McGill University. She developed her communications and public relations skills at Bombardier Aerospace, then joined Moment Factory, immersing herself in the world of international media relations.
Her transition from aeronautics to the world of entertainment technology and special effects reveals Lawrence's fascination with innovation, creativity and new technologies. She quickly distinguished herself by her ability to translate complex concepts into language accessible to the general public. Her thirst for adrenalin also resurfaces, and she hones her crisis management skills with brio.
Lawrence sees her career in the big picture, despite the limitations imposed on her by the corporate world.
As an Afrodescendant woman, she felt certain doors were closed to her and decided to open them herself.
In 2020, she founded Kelart communications, a boutique public relations agency based in Montreal, serving clients in French and English across Canada. That same year, Lawrence becomes a nationally accredited public relations professional.
